Our Customers' Comments About Our Barbecue Pits & Grills

"Hi Clint,  just a quick note to let you know we are real happy with the custom pit I picked up on Saturday.  Thanks for meeting me half way.  We seasoned the pit Sat. night and cooked on it all day Sunday.  Turned out great even though it was the first time.  I have seen lots of welding, and somebody there can really hold a bead.  Craftsmanship is as good as I have seen for a very fair price.  Reverse plate helps hold temps even from side to side.  Hi pressure burners work really well, igniting fire box is quick and easy.  Again, thanks for a quality pit at a good price."

Darrell Slaton, Texas (Cutom Model RK250)

"The smoker arrived yesterday afternoon. You know that happy and proud feeling you get when you make a really good decision? Well that's how I feel right about now. I just got done curing it and I cant' wait for the weekend so I can try it out. This pit is awesome! Everyone that has seen it has been totally blown away by how great it looks. You guys really know how to build 'em!"

Phil Romero, California (Custom Model RK250)

"Picked my pit up Monday and cured it the same day. Got to cook on it the following Saturday and everything tasted great. Firebox was easy to light with the log starter and even though the wind picked up quite a bit, it was relatively easy to keep the temperature maintained. Got to use the burners and the top of the firebox to cook breakfast and as expected, everything worked great. Can't wait to get this thing in a cook-off."

Jeff Bryant, Texas (Custom Model RK250)

"Clint,
This picture was taken December 24th, 2007. You can see it started to snow on me, but that didn't stop me. I cooked 3 turkeys and 3 hams on this day. My dad and I also cooked on the 22nd. We loaded it up with 10 turkeys, 5 hams and 9 racks of baby back ribs. We have been giving this smoker a workout. It has been working well for us. We are looking forward to warmer weather for even more cooking."

“We’ve really been enjoying our new rig! It put on a big show for Monday night football last week. How bout them Titans! I’ll try to send more pics soon. Thanks for all your hard work and great service. It draws a lot of looks, awes, and conversation and everyone seems to be quite impressed.”

Ben Blake, Tennessee (Custom Model RK250)

"Just wanted to say thanks for the smoker and bringing it to Waco. I smoked some ribs, sausage, & Corn. They were great! I don't think I will ever go back to grillin.   Thanks again!"

We have been having fun with our pit. I don't think it has had any time off since we got it. At Christmas time my dad and I cooked up 20 turkey's for families that needed a Christmas dinner. We have found a talent we have and love to use it to help out others. It is fun to see them smile after tasting some smoked meat. I am sure you noticed our Utah BBQ Association banner, it is for everyone in Utah (and outside) to have a gather spot to talk BBQ. We try to promote things as an association and not so much a personal recognition. When we do things as an association, our pit is one that is usually there. It is because of how you build them. It starts some great conversations and gets people interested in BBQ... We don't let our pit sit in the back yard, we get out in the public. I am sure that is why you are seeing more interest in your pits from here. Your pits are very affordable too, that helps a lot too... We do have some good contests coming up this year. We are looking forward to the Snowbird contest at the end of June. We will be going up against Jonnny Trig (Smokin' Triggers), Smokers Wild, Scotty from cancersuckschicago.com, and some other big names. Our first Utah competition will be June 4-5 in Salt Lake. We are working on some competition rubs, sauces and techniques. We are having fun promoting BBQ!!!

Dan Kerby, Utah (RK250)

"I spent last week and weekend in the Smokey mountains trout fishing and used the pit and grill every day. We smoked 4 wild turkeys, 4 Boston butts, 40 pheasants, and 90 quail. Everything was awesome! The pit preformed excellent! I was really impressed how efficient it was on charcoal and how the Guru maintained the temp. I'll send some pix as soon as I get them off the camera. Thanks again."

James Satterwhite (Camper's Kitchen)

"I picked my pit up in Texas and drove it home to Ohio. I was very impressed with how well the pit travels down the road. When we got it home, we were equally impressed with how well it cooked! Thanks, Clint!"

John Harper, Ohio (Custom RK300)

"I have had great luck with your East Texas Smoker. I won 3rd place in the state with some of the best pork shoulder you could have ever eaten. I also won 2nd place at the 4th Annual Buzz-B-Q with Pork Butt. I cook a lot on the pit. I have had it loaded down with 20 10-12 pound Pork Butts and it will hold temp for 8 to 10 hours without really messing with it. Like I said, I love the pit and it has well paid for itself already. Thanks, and have a good one."

Ben Hurst, Little Rock, Arkansas (Model RK150)
